Tim is married to Kris Newhouse, an attorney specializing in adoption and probate. They have two children.

After graduating from law school, he became employed at a local suburban law firm. 13 years later, he decided to open his own practice so he could concentrate on the areas he enjoys most and to better serve his clients. His office opened on January 2, 1998 and has been serving and advising clients ever since.
